The imitation of a portrait on computer. (Continuation)

To tell the story about processing of the imitations is the traditional styles of drawing would occupy much time. I want in brief to stop for main moments of creating a computer imitation of the portrait from photography, regardless from material of the imitation. For performing the function we shall take one of the most popular raster programs "Photoshop" with the built-in set of instruments and plug-ins

To describe picturesquely to future product it is necessary to approach to the artist thinking when using manual method of drawing. Using his approach to work we shall try the facility of the computer program to repeat his method and technology of the functioning. The main stages in making the traditional portrait:
Choice of the drawing material
Search of compositions
Building of forms
Revision of details line.
Underlining of the typical details of nature (the eye, lips i.t.p.)

Coming thereof here are several tips:

The Volume of the form is usually revealled by such means as shadow, midtone and light.
For this, as a rule, are used instruments of the program:
Select- Color Range- Highlights, Midtones, Shadows
Threshold
Posterize
The color mode of the scene Indexed Color.

That to create lines complementing main lines of the portrait use the built-in filters:
Find Edges
Glowing Edges
High Pass with Threshold. By the way, all loved filter Find Edges is one of the variant their joint action.
